For the Love of Nature

When this couple decided they wanted to turn their passions into a lifestyle they left their secure jobs to follow their dream. It was risky journeying into the unknown but they felt it was right for them.

Being close to nature is what Ray and Priscilla live for. Weekends are spent hiking in the Rockies with skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. Their outdoor lifestyle made them perfect candidates for acreage living.

They turned their large ranch style one level home into a bed and breakfast. Opening a Bed & Breakfast for visitors meant the home had to be customized to give privacy and yet be convenient to host visitors. A large outdoor grilling area and hot tub was a perfect après ski venue.

Ray and Priscila make a great team and since stepping out of their comfort zone they have never looked back. Ski season is a busy time with guests who enjoy the same activities. Ray is able to offer guided hiking tours of Kananaskis and other mountain areas for their guests since he knows the area so well.

Priscilla loves to prepare breakfast and offers a special menu to accommodate special dietary needs. Ski season is busiest for hosting and in the summer they enjoy more free time to explore things for themselves.

The Internet has made it easy to promote their beautiful hideaway, yet now most of their business comes from word of mouth. And because it is such a beautiful spot they have been guaranteed return business.

When not hosting Ray and Priscilla can be found hiking and discovering new territory. Staying home is wonderful too because they have created an environment they are content with and without guests, they can enjoy life to the fullest.
